Somewhere to put text for a few minutes without opening an editor or creating an account. The note stays in the browser you typed it in. There is also a share link, and it works by putting the text in the part of the URL after the hash.
How to use
Type. The note is kept on this machine, so it is there when you come back in the same browser. Use the share link when you want to hand the text to someone, and read the section below on what that implies.
Where the text actually lives
The note is stored by the browser on the machine you are using. That makes it fast, private in the ordinary sense, and completely tied to that one browser. A different device shows an empty page. Private browsing discards it when the window closes. Clearing site data removes it with everything else, and no copy exists anywhere to restore from.
What a share link is doing
Everything after the hash in a URL stays in the browser and is not sent with the request. Encoding the note there means it can be handed to someone without any server holding a copy. It also means the link grows with the note, and a long note produces a link long enough that some chat clients will cut it, which delivers a truncated note rather than an error.
What clears a note without warning
Clearing browsing data, a browser set to wipe site data on exit, private windows, and storage cleanup on a device running low on space. None of these announce that a note was among the casualties. Treat this as a scratch pad you are willing to lose, and move anything that matters into a file or a real notes application.
Not a place for secrets
Passwords, tokens, and personal records do not belong here. The storage is not encrypted, other software on the machine can read it, and a share link puts the contents into whatever channel you sent it through. Use it for a draft message, a list you are assembling, or a snippet you are moving between two windows.

Will my note still be here tomorrow?
In the same browser on the same machine, usually yes. It does not follow you to another device, and clearing site data removes it.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign up and nothing to log into, which is also why there is no recovery if the note is gone.
How does the share link work?
The text is encoded into the URL after the hash. Browsers do not send that portion to the server, so the note travels inside the link itself.
Is a share link private?
It is unlisted rather than private. Anyone holding the link can read the note, and links leak through chat history, screenshots and browser history.
