Read the public friend count for a list of UIDs.

About

Submit numeric UIDs and this reads back the friend count when the account publishes one. It is a queued job rather than an instant answer: the page polls until the upstream finishes, then fills the table. Blank cells are left blank, because an invented number is worse than no number.

How to use

One UID per line, then submit and leave the tab open while it polls. Extra public fields the upstream returns are appended as new columns, so the table shape depends on what your particular list exposes.

Where the number comes from

The count is a field the account itself publishes. Facebook shows it to logged out visitors when the person leaves the friend list public, and withholds it otherwise. Nothing here estimates, samples, or reconstructs it from mutual connections. A row with a number means the field was published at the moment the job ran.

Why the same UID can return two different numbers

Counts drift for reasons that have nothing to do with anyone unfriending anyone. Accounts get deactivated and reactivated, blocked accounts disappear from the count in one direction only, and memorialised profiles behave differently again. If you are tracking a number over time, record the date you pulled it and expect a small band rather than a fixed figure.

Running a list rather than one account

The job is built for batches, so the useful pattern is to screen a list with the UID live checker first, drop the dead rows, then send what is left here. That keeps the hourly budget on accounts that can actually answer, and it makes an empty cell in this table mean something specific rather than being noise from a bad UID.

Quota, and what happens when it runs out

This is a metered lookup with an hourly free allowance. When the allowance is spent the page says so rather than quietly returning empty rows, which matters because an empty row and a blocked request look identical in a results table. Wait for the hour to roll over, or move to the paid equivalent.

FAQ

Why is the friend count column empty for most rows?

Hiding the friend list is a normal privacy setting and a common default. When the account does not publish the number, the upstream has nothing to return and the cell stays empty.

The count changed since yesterday. Did someone unfriend them?

Not necessarily. Deactivated accounts, memorialised accounts, and accounts blocked in one direction drop out of the visible number and come back later, so small movements are normal.

Can I submit profile links instead of numbers?

No. Resolve links to numeric UIDs first, then paste those. Mixed input fails the whole row rather than half working.

Why does this one use quota when the live check does not?

The live check asks one public endpoint per row. This lookup runs a queued job upstream, so it is metered by the hour.
