Give it a list of numeric Facebook UIDs and it asks the public avatar endpoint about each one, then marks the row live or die. Nothing here uses your Facebook session, and nothing is read beyond what the endpoint answers. Public UIDs 4 and 5 work as a test.
How to use
One numeric UID per line, then run. Each row comes back with a status, the HTTP code behind it, and sometimes an avatar URL. If all you have is a username, convert it first with the Facebook username to UID tool.
What live and die actually mean here
Live means the public avatar path answered for that UID. Die means it did not answer on this attempt. Neither word says anything about whether the account was banned, deactivated, renamed, or simply never existed, because the endpoint returns the same silence for all four. Read the status as a fact about one request at one moment, and re-run a row before you act on it.
Why the input is a number and not a name
Facebook lets a person change the handle in their profile URL, and it keeps the numeric ID stable underneath. This checker follows the number. That is why a list scraped from profile links has to go through the username to UID tool first, and why a UID you saved last year is usually still the right one to check today.
Reading the HTTP code next to each row
The code column is there so a failure can be diagnosed instead of guessed. A 404 points at an ID that resolves to nothing. A 403 usually means the endpoint declined this particular request rather than that the account is gone. A timeout is about the network between the server and Facebook, and it is the one case where retrying the same row is worth doing.
What this will not tell you
There is no timeline, no friend list, no post history, and no way to see anything a logged out visitor could not. Checking a UID also does not notify the account holder. If you need the friend count for a UID that came back live, that is a separate lookup with its own quota.

Why does it refuse a username like zuck?
This probe addresses accounts by number. Run zuck through the username to UID tool, then paste the digits it returns.
The row says die but the profile opens in my browser. Why?
Your browser is logged in and this probe is not. An account that is reachable only to signed-in visitors reads as die here.
Does a live row mean the account is real?
It means the number resolves to something the public endpoint will answer for. Age, activity, and whether a person is behind it are all outside what this sees.
Is there a limit on how many UIDs I can paste?
The free path is rate limited per hour rather than per list, so a long list runs until the hour's budget is spent.
