About
Queries public A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, and NS from the server so you can see whether DNS has taken effect.
How to use
Enter a domain. CheckKit’s server resolves public DNS and shows the records.
What this tool checks
A snapshot of public DNS. Use it to see whether a fresh change has reached this probe.
How to read the results
A CNAME is usually followed by A/AAAA. TXT is often used for verification and SPF; follow your provider’s exact value.
Limits and data handling
Server-side resolution, not your hosts file. DNS is not modified.
FAQ
Which records are supported?
Common A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, and NS. It is not a debugger for arbitrary DNS types.
Why is this different from local nslookup?
Cache, authoritative servers, geo DNS, and egress resolvers can all differ.
What is TTL?
Suggested seconds to cache the record. Before TTL expires you may still see the old value after a change.
