About
Reads the country or region field that a public Instagram account exposes, for a whole list at once. It is a queued job rather than an instant answer: submit the usernames, leave the tab open, and the table fills when the upstream finishes. Try cristiano, leomessi, or neymarjr.
How to use
One username per line, no @ and no profile links. Submit, then wait. Each row comes back with a country where one was available and a status where it was not, and blanks are left blank rather than filled with a guess.
What the country field is
Instagram attaches a country to some accounts and publishes it in places a signed out visitor can reach. That value is what comes back here. It is not derived from posts, tags, language, or anything the tool infers. Where the platform publishes nothing, the column stays empty, because an inferred country presented as a fact is worse than no answer at all.
The gap between an account's country and a person's location
The field describes an account and people are not accounts. Someone can register in one country and live in another for a decade. Agencies run accounts on behalf of clients elsewhere. Travel, migration and shared logins all detach the two. This matters because the searches that lead here are often asking where somebody is, and that is a question the field cannot answer however confidently a tool displays it.
Reading a run that came back mostly empty
Empty columns concentrate for reasons worth separating. Private accounts publish nothing to check. Usernames that were renamed or deleted return a status rather than a country. Accounts that simply never had the field are common and unremarkable. And a run that begins with countries and ends with blanks usually hit the hourly limit rather than a wall of private accounts, which the notice on screen will confirm.
Why it queues instead of answering immediately
Each username becomes work for the upstream, so the page submits the batch and polls until it reports back. Closing the tab abandons the run. A list of a few names finishes quickly and a long one takes proportionally longer, which is the trade for being able to submit a column rather than one name at a time.
Spending the allowance on rows that can answer
This lookup is metered by the hour, and dead usernames consume it exactly like live ones. The free username checker costs nothing and removes them first. The profile lookup then tells you which of the survivors are private, and a private account will never return a country no matter how many times the row is retried. Two free passes before this one is the difference between a full table and a mostly empty one.
FAQ
How do I check what country an Instagram account is from?
Paste the username here and read the country column. Instagram exposes this on some accounts and not others, so a blank result is a real answer rather than a failure of the lookup.
Is this where the person actually lives?
No. It is a field attached to the account, not a position. People travel, move, register from one country and live in another, and set the field years ago and forget it. Read it as a hint about the account, never as a location for a person.
Why is the country blank for so many rows?
Four ordinary causes: the account is private, the username does not exist, the upstream had no such field for that account, or the hourly allowance ran out mid run. The status column distinguishes them.
Can I look up by user ID instead of username?
Submit the username. If you are holding numeric IDs, the profile lookup returns the handle alongside the ID, and that handle is what this takes.
Does the account holder find out?
No. Nothing is sent to the account and no interaction is recorded against it.
