About

Paste one link to check YouTube video statistics: the public view, like and comment counts, plus the like rate, comment rate and views per day worked out from them. Example input: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNQXAC9IVRw. These are the counters a signed-out viewer can see. Studio analytics such as watch time, impressions and earnings stay private to the channel owner.

How to use

Paste the video link or ID and press Run. A two-column table returns 13 rows: views, likes, comments, like rate, comment rate, publish date, days since publishing, views per day, duration, category, live content, unlisted and channel ID. A row showing a dash means the public page did not expose that value on this request.

Ratios that make videos comparable

Raw likes say little when one video has a million views and another has ten thousand. Like rate and comment rate put both on the same scale, so you can see which audience reacted more. Views per day does the same for age: a video from last week and one from three years ago might have similar totals and wildly different daily pace.

The less obvious rows

Category is the label the uploader picked, always in English, for example Music, Gaming or Education. Live content reads yes for streams and stream replays. Unlisted reads yes when the video is hidden from the channel page and search and reachable only by link. The channel ID starts with UC and can go straight into the channel statistics tool on this site for a view of the whole channel.

Where the numbers are read from

The server loads the public watch page as a signed-out visitor and parses the counters out of its embedded data. If YouTube refuses the request and the site has an official YouTube Data API v3 key set, the server reads the same video through the API; otherwise you get a message to try again. Each IP address can run 30 lookups per minute.

FAQ

How do I calculate the like rate of a YouTube video?

Divide likes by views and multiply by 100. The table does it for you and shows two decimal places. Comment rate is comments divided by views, shown to three places.

How is views per day worked out?

Total views divided by the number of days since publishing, rounded. Days are counted from the publish date to today with a minimum of one, so a video posted today shows its full view count as views per day.

Why are the likes blank for some videos?

The public page did not include a like count on that request, so the row stays empty and the like rate cannot be computed. Try again later or compare against another upload.

Why doesn't the view count match the video page?

Results are cached on the server for ten minutes. A popular video can gain a lot in that window, and refreshing YouTube itself shows the newer figure.
